A to Z of the English Teaching Application Procedure - from applying to arriving in China!

In our programs, the exact teacher application process involved for each individual person, couple or group varies. But here is an outline of the process and general requirements as applied to all applicants to our Teach in China programs. In specific situations, such as summer programs, maybe we have different application procedures.

Step 1. Application
Option A. Fax or email the following documents to our office.

i. Application Form (Click to download)
ii. 2 reference letters (completed by someone other than a family member)
iii. Copy of your passport (personal details and photo page)
iv. Copy of payment of non-refundable US$80 Application Fee
v. Copies of certificate, degree or diploma
vi. Copies of teaching qualifications or certificates (if available)
vii. Resume (one page)
viii. 6 passport size photos*

Option B. *Mail the above documents to our office.
Within 5 days of receiving the complete application, we will confirm that the documents are received.

Step 2. Selection & Interview
We send all the materials with an evaluation report to the institutions. Before accepting a teacher, the institutions require a sighting of all these documents. A short telephone interview may be required for a suitable time and date.

Step 3. Placement Offer
Then we will send you a concrete job offer, with the details of the school, age groups, etc. If there are several positions available that match your preferences, we will send them all and you can choose the one that you prefer. To accept the teaching placement, you will need to:
i. Sign the Teaching Contract and
ii. Pay the Registration fee ($590 for 6-month, $990 for 1 year placement).

Fax or Mail the Enrollment Form (first page) and bank receipt for paid program fees to our office. Within 5 days of receiving the Teaching Agreement we will confirm your placement.

Step 4. Visa
A school in China will sponsor your work visa after you accept the teaching placement and go through a medical test. If you are teaching in China, your work permit and visa issuance letter will be faxed and will be posted to you by express. PLEASE PROVIDE A FAX NUMBER OR MAILING ADDRESS. Once you have received them you will need to visit your nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate, take the work permit and visa issuance letter along with passport photos and your passport and pay the visa fee.

Payments of the Application Fee (US$90 non-refundable) and Registration Fee may be paid by:
Bank Transfer
For bank details please contact us.
Keep the bank receipt and fax or send it along with the other documents as proof of payment.
Bank or Cashier's Check / Money Order
Make the check or money order payable to: 'Sinowest International Education'. Sinowest International Education is not responsible for any loss or misplacement in the course of mailing. Personal checks are not accepted.
